Guided Fishing Trips

Scenic Valley Outfitters (Montana Outfitter license #6378) offers world-class guided trout fishing on the famous blue ribbon waters of the Missouri River. We also provide guided trout fishing on the Dearborn River, Sun River and several small streams in the surrounding area. All of our full day guided trips (8-10 hours on the water) include a streamside lunch, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages. Tippet and flies are also provided. Half day trips (4-5 hours on the water) include non-alcoholic beverages tippet and flies.

Bruce Pershing is the owner/outfitter of Scenic Valley Outfitters and Scenic Valley Lodge, He has over 40 years of fly fishing experience.Growing up in southwestern New Mexico, Bruce learned to fish for trout at young age. While serving a twenty year career in the Army, Bruce had the opportunity to fish for trout in Germany, France, Austria and Northern Italy. Bruce also fished extensively for peacock bass, snook, barracuda and a vast array of species in Panama. Bruce and his family moved to Montana in 1985 where he fell in love with the Missouri River. Over the last twenty years, Bruce has fished all over Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Utah. Bruce has been guiding professionally on the Missouri River since 1995. With his relaxed and patient instructions, Bruce has introduced hundreds of beginning anglers to the art of flyfishing.

In 2003, Bruce built Scenic Valley Lodge and his house in a small valley overlooking the beautiful Missouri River where he and his wife Nancy now reside.
